You have found a moisturiser, want to add a serum and wonder where sunscreen fits in? A good routine only needs a few clear steps. Here is a guide for mornings and evenings.
01Morning: build your routine, finish with sunscreen
Start with a cleanser that suits your skin. Use lukewarm water and a gentle touch. Next comes a serum, if you want to use one. Our Balancing Multi Vitamin Drops are applied after cleansing and before moisturiser.
Follow with your moisturiser, such as the Hydrating Day Cream. If you use a separate eye cream, apply it gently according to its instructions. It is an optional addition to your routine.
Sunscreen is the last skincare step before make-up. Choose broad-spectrum protection with at least SPF 30 and follow the instructions for the amount to apply and reapplication. The uprise day cream does not replace sunscreen with a stated SPF. Do not mix sunscreen with your serum or day cream: apply it as a separate layer.
02Evening: wash off the day and care for your skin
Remove make-up, sunscreen and dirt with a suitable gentle cleanser. Then you can apply a serum, followed by your moisturiser. With uprise, for example, you can combine the Calming Serum with the Regenerating Night Cream.
A serum is not a compulsory step. If your skin feels comfortable with cleansing and moisturising, that may already be a suitable evening routine. Layering several serums is not automatically better, either. Choose an addition you actually want to use and tolerate well.
03The best routine works in everyday life
For many combinations, a useful guide is to apply lighter products before richer ones. However, the product’s specific instructions take priority, especially for specialist formulas or prescribed treatments.
Let each layer settle briefly before moving on. You do not need a complicated stopwatch routine. If products pill, check the amounts and try fewer layers first.
Start simply. A reliable routine is easier to maintain, and you can more clearly see which products suit your skin. Your morning and evening routines do not have to look exactly the same.
