Open a cream, take a quick sniff, and a first impression forms. For many people, scent is part of skincare. At uprise, we have chosen fragrance-free formulas for a simple reason: we want to focus on skincare function.

01A considered choice

Perfume can make a product a sensory experience and shape its character. It is not, however, necessary for a cream’s moisturising or skincare function. That is why we leave out added fragrance.

Fragrance ingredients can cause irritation or contact allergies in some people. Those who are sensitive to scent often look for fragrance-free skincare. At the same time, not every skin reacts to fragrance, and a fragranced cream is not inherently unsuitable. It is about individual tolerance and making an informed choice.

02Fragrance-free does not necessarily mean scentless

Raw ingredients can have a scent of their own. Plant oils and extracts are good examples. A fragrance-free product therefore does not have to smell completely neutral. What matters is that no perfume is added for scent.

Fragrance-free is not the same as allergen-free, either. A formula contains other components that some people may react to. If you have a known contact allergy, always check the full ingredient list against your own sensitivities.

03Skincare that suits you

At uprise, the entire range is free from added fragrance, from serums and eye care to day and night creams. You can build your routine without combining different perfume compositions.

Our products are intended for people of all genders. Your skin’s needs should guide your choice: which texture feels good? How much skincare do you want to use? And which products does your skin tolerate?

Take your time getting to know a new product. Try it on a small area of skin first, and avoid introducing several new products at once. Stop using it if you have a reaction. This makes it easier to see what suits you.

We believe skincare without added fragrance can still be a lovely ritual. A comfortable texture, a mindful gesture and a moment for yourself are often all it takes.
