It is getting cooler outside, the heating is back on indoors, and suddenly your familiar skincare feels different. Autumn is a good time to take a closer look at your skin: what still feels good, and where does it need a little more support?

01Watch your skin, not the calendar

Cool outdoor air and dry indoor air can contribute to skin feeling drier. Your cheeks may feel tight, some areas rough, or your skin less supple. But not every routine needs a complete overhaul in September.

If your current products work well, you can keep using them. Adjust your skincare when your skin gives you a reason to. That might mean a different texture or extra care for particularly dry areas.

02Think about hydration and nourishment together

Humectants such as glycerin or hyaluronic acid help bind water. A cream complements them with other skincare components. Which combination feels comfortable depends on your skin and the complete formula.

Our Hydrating Day Cream, for example, combines aloe vera juice, glycerin and hyaluronic acid with passion fruit extract. If you want to add a serum, apply it before the cream. For the evening, choose a night cream with a texture you enjoy. Test changes one at a time, rather than replacing your entire routine at once.

03Small habits make a difference

Wash your face with lukewarm water and a gentle cleanser. Very hot water may be tempting in cool weather, but it can put extra stress on dry skin. Pat your skin dry gently and moisturise soon afterwards.

If your skin already feels tight or sensitive, consider whether frequent exfoliation or lots of active products are currently too much. Give it a simple foundation that it tolerates well.

UV protection matters in autumn too. When spending time outdoors, remember suitable sunscreen and additional measures such as clothing and shade. A day cream without a stated SPF does not do this job.

Our autumn tip: take a few days to consciously notice your skin’s needs. If dryness, itching or redness persist, have a dermatologist check the cause. Good skincare starts with taking your own signals seriously.
