A special moment for uprise: during the German Sustainability Award 2025 in Düsseldorf, we gave our complete skincare range to 40 prominent speakers, award recipients and guests. An invitation to discover upcycling in their own bathrooms.

01Making an idea tangible

On 4 and 5 December 2025, Düsseldorf hosted the German Sustainability Award. Around 2,000 guests and more than 150 speakers gathered at #DNP25. For us, it was a fitting occasion to share our idea: skincare that uses valuable by-products of food manufacturing.

Each of our 40 recipients received all five uprise products: day and night cream, eye cream, Calming Serum and Multi Vitamin Drops. This gave them the opportunity to get to know the range as a whole.

02Prominent voices for change

Figures on the event programme included WTO Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, designer and honorary award recipient Philippe Starck, and Bundestag President Julia Klöckner, who delivered his tribute. Gerd Müller and Karin Prien also contributed to the discussions. Chef Sophia Hoffmann created the plant-based dinner, while Naturally 7 provided the evening’s music.

This range shows how many areas sustainability touches: business and politics, as well as design, food and culture.

03What we wanted to share

Our formulas include ingredients from grape skins and blueberry seeds, among others. They show that the parts of a fruit left over after processing can still be valuable. This is the perspective we want to share.

With a cream or serum in your hand, the abstract idea of the circular economy becomes a concrete question: what actually goes into the things I use every day? That is exactly the conversation we want uprise to open up.

04From Düsseldorf to everyday life

For us, responsibility for resources belongs at the heart of everyday life. Skincare offers a personal starting point: we choose certain products and repeat those choices every morning and evening.

Being able to give away our range in connection with the German Sustainability Award was a lovely step for uprise. We hope it sparks curiosity about where ingredients come from. Our goal remains to combine circular thinking with an uncomplicated skincare routine.
